6/12/2020 · Much more flexible than the Fanatic set. I grew up in Tennessee, have hunted all over the East, Midwest, and out West. The Stratus is much more versatile. If they made a Stratus set with the handwarmer pocket it would pillage their Fanatic sales.

The Stratus is wind PROOF, the Fanatic Lite series is not. It is plenty wind resistant though, far more than your Filson bibs.

3/8/2019 · My basic recommendation would be the Fanatic Lite jacket and bobs with a stratus vest to start. This will probably be the same or less than the Fanatic suit and be more forgiving to weather changes. I personally have the Core Light weight and Heavy weight tops and bottoms, Equinox pants, Fanatic hoodie, Fanatic Lite jacket and bibs.
Warmer than the FAnatic more on par with the Incinerator and Stand Hunter Extreme. Though I LOVE the Fanatic , I use it less and less these days as I will wear the Stratus until it gets too cold, then switch to the Incinerator. They are all excellent pieces and have their place, but unless you layer the Fanatic it is not a true sub zero garment.
10/31/2012 · The first thing I noticed when I pulled my Stratus jacket, bib and beanie out of the box was the quality of material set before me. Sitka calls it their Windstopper fabric, which somehow combines a dense, super tough, yet amazingly soft-to-the-touch material that is great for blocking wind and keeping you warm in October.It’s kind of like the NASA-grade version of polar fleece.
11/26/2018 · It felt like it rained almost every archery sit and none of those are rain proof ( Stratus , Fanatic – neither). I looked at the Downpour coat and decided i would be better off going all in with the Incinerator set and no base layers on warmer rainy days and then would have those for colder days. i think it is a good call.
